Short description:

The Wildlife & Airside Coordinator reports to the Manager Operations Control. The main area of responsibility is to ensure the implementation of wildlife patrols and inspections, inside and outside the airport as described in the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan and Standard Operating Procedures. The successful candidate must be able to carry out shift work on a 24-hour basis.

Other areas of responsibility include:

• operation of the wildlife management equipment
• liaising with the wildlife management stakeholders regarding the wildlife activities inside and outside the airport
• supervision of the habitat management subcontractors
• preparation of reports and statistics regarding the wildlife presence and activities
• conducting other airside activities such as movement area and aircraft turnaround inspections
• performing internal and external wildlife patrols
• recording wildlife activities
• reporting hazards and proposing measures to reduce wildlife strikes

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• BSc in Biology or any other related field will be considered an advantage
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Very good knowledge of Greek and English languages (verbal and writing)
