Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our international fintech client, are currently looking for an Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper to join their very well-established company. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles and practices and will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits of financial procedures and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for various projects and initiatives.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA certification preferred however an advanced bookkeeper will also be considered.
• Previous experience in accounting within the fintech industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite preferred but not mandatory) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
