CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Marine Works, including dry dock, shipyard, and ship repair services, with operations in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a CNC Plasma Operator to join their growing team. As a CNC Plasma Operator, you will be responsible for calculating the weight of cut parts and determining the weight of raw material components to transition material in a safe manner, as well as observing and listening to machine operations to detect malfunctions during the manufacturing process. Our client is seeking applicants who ideally possess technical training, with previous work experience in a heavy industrial or construction environment. Proven experience with plasma machinery, as well as fluency in English is a must, and any professional certifications including welding certificates or forklift training, will be considered an advantage. Working hours are from Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch, and Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Calculate the weight of cut parts and determine the weight of raw material components to transition material in a safe manner.
• Use inspection tools, including callipers, tape measures and squares, to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by the work instructions.
• Perform daily operational checks and clean-up at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Observe and listen to machine operations to detect malfunctions during the manufacturing process.
• During non-plasma operations, assist in the welding hangar.
• Accurate completion of production and Quality Control sheets.
• Troubleshoot plasma to operator level.
• Monitor the work environment for hazards and maintain healthy ventilation to avoid particle or gas inhalation.
• Responsible for the equipment provided for use in the job role. 
• Ensure equipment is used as per training, company policies, procedures, and regulations. Where applicable, safety equipment or PPE provided must be worn.
• Understand, support, and implement the company housekeeping, Safety and Quality policies and procedures into daily work habits.
• May be required to work in inclement and extreme weather conditions.
• Monitor areas of responsibility and communicate any potential issues.
• Any other reasonable duties as defined by the role and Management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent technical training.
• Previous work experience in a heavy industrial or construction environment.
• Demonstrated experience with plasma machinery.
• Professional Certifications (i.e. welding certificates, forklift training etc.) would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of various types of construction and or heavy equipment operations preferred.
• Proficient in English.
• PC literate, including good experience with MS Office and AutoCad would be an advantage.
• Clean Criminal Record.
• Candidates should be resident in Cyprus with a yellow slip, if required.
• Ability to read and understand safety guidelines and technical drawings.
• Adequate knowledge of system structures and how to troubleshoot systems by understanding how the system was designed to perform.
• Problem-solving skills to efficiently and effectively solve and repair system issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and willingness to use PPE.
• Flexible in work times.  Will be required to work outside of normal office hours as operational requirements demand.
