CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Technology Group, based in Cyprus providing powerful CRM technologies, we are seeking to recruit a proactive and detail - orientated Junior Risk Sports Manager to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with various aspects of our sports programs, events, facilities, and operations. Our client is seeking applicants who ideally hold an academic background relating to Risk Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field and with approximately 1-3 years of relevant experience in Risk Management, preferably within the Sports industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in risk management within the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the sports industry. An attractive remuneration package is available to the successful candidate.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in identifying potential risks associated with sports programs, events, facilities, and operations, including financial risks, safety risks, legal risks, and reputational risks.
  • Support in evaluating the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks using both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques, considering factors such as probability, severity, and vulnerability.
  • Aid in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate or minimize identified risks, including the implementation of safety protocols, insurance policies, contractual arrangements, and risk transfer mechanisms.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to risk management and safety in sports, including athlete welfare, venue safety, and emergency preparedness.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of contingency plans to respond effectively to crises or unexpected events that could disrupt sports programs, events, or operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including coaches, athletes, event organizers, and facility managers, to communicate risk management strategies, findings, and recommendations effectively.
  • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of risk management measures and regularly report on key risk indicators, emerging risks, and mitigation efforts to relevant stakeholders.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in risk management, preferably within the sports industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to risk management and safety in sports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events and activities.
