CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most well-known and highly regarded suppliers of Sanitary Ware and Floor Tiling, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will handle a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties to help facilitate the smooth running of the finance function. You will need to possess a minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience, and any previous experience gained working in an Accounting & Audit Firm will be considered an advantage. Our client is seeking applicants who hold the LCCI Accounting Certification and knowledge of Accounting Software and/or ERP systems will be considered an advantage. Fluency in Greek & English is a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Execution of regular accounting entries.
• Preparation of vendor payments.
• Credit control tracking and reporting.
• Reconciliations of vendor and customer accounts.
• Reconciliations of bank accounts.
• General handling of other daily accounting tasks.
• Preparation of various reports as requested by Management.

Key Skills/Experience:

• An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar will be considered an advantage.
• Holder of LCCI Accounting diploma (minimum Intermediate level).
• 2+ years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience, ideally gained working for an Audit & Accounting Firm.
• Strong IT skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
• Previous experience working with Accounting Software and/or ERP systems is desirable, but not essential.
• Fluency in Greek & English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
