The successful candidate must have previous experience within the fintech industry as they will be responsible to build and lead the accounting department, bringing all accounting functions in-house. Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
• Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Staying informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensuring compliance with local and international standards
• Assisting in the preparation for audits and working closely with external auditors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) preferred
• Industry experience within Fintech is a must
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in financial software and MS Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Russian language is an advantage
