CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most long-established and respected providers of IT Services & Solutions to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit an IT Systems Engineer with a focus on Storage solutions to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will handle the implementation of new technologies on behalf of various clients, predominantly in the areas of Storage and Data protection. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics Engineering or another IT related field and possess approximately 4 years of proven experience in IT Administration, ideally with 2+ years of experience focused on storage solutions and services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English are essential.

Role Overview:

The Systems Engineer will work on business-critical systems and system software products and tools, with a focus on Storage and Backup solutions. As a Systems Engineer, you will handle the implementation of new technologies, at a diverse set of customers, in the areas of Storage and Data protection, and will work together with the Technical Support Team on problem analysis and troubleshooting.

Key Skills/Experience:

• University degree in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering or other IT related field.
• Approximately 4 years’ experience in IT support and administration, ideally with minimum 2+ years focused on storage solutions.
• Very good understanding of computer systems and complex solutions.
• Vendor certifications in storage, e.g. HPE ASE/MASE, etc., will be considered an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication skills (English and Greek).
• Willing to continuously improve personal skills and knowledge.
• Ability to manage your own time, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Friendly and professional manner with an enthusiastic positive approach to tasks.
• Prior experience in any of the below technical areas will be considered a significant advantage:

• Enterprise Storage SAN solutions, e.g., HPE 3PAR, EMC, IBM, NetApp, etc.
• Storage protocols: ISCSI, Fiber Channel, NFS protocols and hardware.
• Enterprise Backup Solutions.
