Job Description

We are actively seeking a Junior Compliance Officer to join our dynamic Compliance Department. This role is pivotal in supporting day-to-day operations within the department, with a focus towards investigating and resolving of complaints, scrutinizing and approving marketing content, GDPR requests and maintaining ongoing compliance reporting. The successful candidate must also be prepared to tackle ad-hoc tasks that arise within the department.

Your Responsibilities

  • Handling of Complaints: Thoroughly investigate complaints logged by the support department, employing meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to resolution. When deemed necessary, serve as the point of contact with dispute intermediaries, ensuring a seamless and fair dispute resolution process that upholds customer satisfaction and compliance standards.
  • Query Handling: Promptly and efficiently address inquiries received through the Compliance mailbox and project boards, ensuring clear and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • GDPR Compliance: Support the team in gathering and organizing data requests pertaining to GDPR across all jurisdictions, meticulously adhering to data protection regulations and privacy standards.
  • Internal Reporting: Compile comprehensive and insightful monthly reports summarizing compliance activities, offering valuable data-driven insights to aid the Compliance team's decision-making processes.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Collaborate closely with internal departments to compile and deliver accurate and comprehensive data reports to regulatory authorities in licensed jurisdictions, ensuring strict adherence to specified deadlines.
  • Marketing Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance assessments on marketing through several mediums (website, social media, streaming platforms, bespoke marketing campaigns, SEO content to guarantee alignment with established standards and regulatory requirements, contributing to our commitment to compliance.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update company manuals and documents that pertain to compliance procedures and protocols, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engage in collaborative efforts with diverse internal departments to efficiently execute tasks and projects within specified time frames. Foster open communication and cooperation to achieve collective goals.
  • Due/Enhanced Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ/EDD): Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely completion of Due/Enhanced Diligence questionnaires required by Banks, Game Providers, and Payment Providers. This involves a comprehensive review of internal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) policies and procedures to demonstrate compliance and transparency to external partners and regulatory bodies.

Please note that the above responsibilities are not exhaustive and may evolve as per the needs of the Compliance Department and the organization.

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, accounting, or finance)/ or equivalent in work experience will be considered an advantage but is not a strict requirement.
  • Proficiency in the English language, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Prior experience in a Compliance or Administrative role is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to meet multiple daily deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in embracing new responsibilities as they arise.
