CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established company that provides consulting services in the areas of Environment, Occupational Health and Safety and Chemical Safety, we are seeking to recruit Health & Safety Officers to join their growing teams based in Limassol and Nicosia. The successful applicants will primarily be responsible for monitoring and controlling all Health & Safety related matters, ensuring client projects are in compliance with relevant regulations. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related fields, and any additional Health & Safety certifications, such as NEBOSH will be considered a significant advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. These positions require the successful applicants to work up to 6 days per week (no Sundays included). 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Monitor and control all H&S matters related with project team members and contractors, ensuring projects are in compliance with the project requirements i.e. specification, safety code and other policies/guidelines related to the project.
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with H&S Management Plan, H&S Management Procedure, Potential Risk Register, Potential Risk Mitigation Plan, H&S Audit Plan/Procedure and any other H&S related documents.
• Prepare and review task specific safety method statements.
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
• Accident and incident investigation and reporting.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Land Surveying/Quantity Surveying/Architecture or another closely related field is essential.  
• Additional Health & Safety certification/qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH IGC) will be considered an advantage.
• Proven experience as an H&S practitioner will be considered a significant advantage.
• Previous experience on construction sites will be considered a plus.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Greek.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
