The CIIM Business School of the University of Limassol is inviting applicants to apply for a tenured or a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Real Estate. While we seek candidates with outstanding research in broad areas relating to real estate, we have a preference for candidates with expertise in Real Estate Development and Management or Construction and Project Management. Those with backgrounds in related areas are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will engage in high quality scholarly research and publish their work in top-tier academic journals and teach a variety of basic and advanced real estate courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The selected individual is expected to establish a robust applied research program, contribute to teaching, develop professional relationships with related academic departments, industry partners, government constituents, and oversee curriculum developments that prepares our students for employment in the growing and dynamic real estate sector in Cyprus and beyond. Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate-level courses using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods. Faculty members are expected to participate in the school’s faculty meetings, committees and the advising of students.

As Director of the Real Estate Program, the successful candidate will provide strategic direction and administrative oversight of the program by engaging with the real estate community, seeking opportunities to create synergy, organizing community engagement events. The individual who fills this position will be expected to participate in the academic life of UoL and the CIIM Business School, including attendance at faculty meetings, curriculum development, and outreach to the academic, business, and professional communities. Significant involvement with students is expected of all faculty members.

Required qualifications: Candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree in Real Estate or a closely related discipline and commit to research and teaching excellence. Successful candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality scholarly research and publication, outstanding teaching skills, and a willingness to participate in the growing Real Estate programs at UoL actively. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. Real estate experience, either in residential or commercial real estate is highly preferred.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate exemplary teaching, a strong publication record and research pipeline, and currency in the real estate field. Applicants must have the ability to work with diverse students and engage diversity in the curriculum. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required. Experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings is required.
