CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Financial & Payment services to clients across the world, we are seeking to recruit a Reconciliations Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for monitoring Payment Services Provider (PSP) volumes and balances, as well as performing regular PSP transaction reconciliations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or another closely related field, who possess approximately 2+ years of relevant professional experience gained working for a Payment Service Provider, Electronic Money Institution and/or Financial Institution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Our client offers a competitive remuneration package to the successful applicant, as well as flexible working hours.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Payment Providers and handling any queries that it may have.
  • Monitoring of Payment Providers volumes and balances, ensuring available funds for processing.
  • Perform daily Payment Providers transactions reconciliations and carrying out reconciliation investigation.
  • Data entry of financial transactions in companies’ platform.
  • Monthly fee calculation, invoice and statement reconciliation and reporting.
  • Handling refunds and chargebacks.
  • Communicating with the development team, on any companies’ platform issues that may arise in relation to payment providers reports.
  • Assisting to the development and management of internal controls and processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.  

 

Key Skills/Experience:

  • University graduate in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualification in a relevant field will be considered an advantage.
  • Approximately 2+ years’ experience in a similar position in a Financial Institution/Payment Systems/EMI.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proactivity and fast learning skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure.
  • Knowledge of task management system JIRA will be considered as advantage.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Willing to attend several seminars.
