CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding CySEC Licensed Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Risk Manager to join their growing team. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for leading the implementation of a robust risk management framework across the Group, including advising, supporting and challenging Senior Management in the identification and management of risk. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics or another relevant field and possess approximately 5+ years of proven experience in Risk within a regulated Investment Firm. Our client is able to provide Hybrid working conditions to the successful candidate after the completion of the onboarding and training period.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support and help lead on embedding the risk culture and the integration of the risk management framework.
• Advise, support and challenge the business / senior management in the identification and management of risks.
• Contribute to a strong governance structure ensuring implementation of best practice across the Group.
• Work closely with the business to assess the impact of emerging risks/regulations.
• Help support the configuration and implementation of risk management software.
• Support the effective review of Third parties including due diligence reviews.
• Stay up-to-date on risk trends and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject.
• Approximately 5+ years’ experience within a regulated firm.
• Deep experience and understanding of regulatory capital, including the ICARA, stress testing and past direct exposure to the Cyprus financial regulator.
• Demonstrable understanding of operational risk, including cyber and business continuity.
• Experience of undertaking Third Party reviews.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly process information and relate that to the workings of the firm.
• Financial management, particularly capital and liquidity management.
