CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a CySEC Licenced Investment Firm with expanding operations based in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Risk to join their growing team. Working alongside the CEO, the successful applicant will play a key role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk management framework and relevant policies for the company. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or another related field and possess approximately 4+ years of proven experience in Risk Management, ideally within a Regulated Investment Firm. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential and you will need to be a holder of the CySEC Advanced Certification.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework and policies for the Company.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and other Senior Management to ensure that the risk management function is effectively integrated into the overall management of the company.
• Prepare regulatory and internal risk management reports, and provide regular updates to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on the company's risk profile and risk management activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management, and recommend appropriate changes to policies and procedures as necessary.
• Build risk awareness among staff by providing training and support, and ensure that risk management is effectively integrated into the company's culture and operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and other third-party service providers.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematical subject, with additional qualifications in risk management or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 4+ years of experience in Risk Management, preferably in a regulated financial services firm.
• Experience with the preparation of statutory reports including COREP, ICAAP, Risk Management Report, Pillar III Report, Recovery Plan etc...
• CySEC Advanced Certificate.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex risk issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly process information and make sound decisions.
• Strong financial management skills, with experience in capital and liquidity management, and the ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
