POSITION SUMMARY:

House DJ mainly ensures that event runs smoothly and interacting with the audience as appropriate. House DJ appears at live events, such as weddings, parties or promoted events to create music by mixing different styles and tracks through a variety of equipment. Provides high-quality standards and technical support within the Entertainment Department, ensuring the effective and economic operations in accordance to the Company’s policies and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produces and mixing records, ensuring there is no gap in the music.
• Uses different techniques like beat mixing, pitch control, scratching, cross fading, sampling, and sequencing to give variety.
• Works at special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, parties, or corporate events whilst keeping in mind the occasion and the choice of the guest.
• Ensures day to day operation of all Entertainment Venues in City of Dreams Mediterranean
• Carries out assigned daily operational tasks, liaises with the Entertainment Events team and Resort Engineers team to ensure all systems relevant to show performances are functional, maintaining a high standard of technical services across all venues
• Organizes, carries out and completes all relevant requests on time
• Gives the complexity and the risk related with the equipment under the responsibility of the department, ensures that all technical operation and procedures are safe
• Handles all “AVL” related system setup, standby and dismantling of Events
• Ensures all tools and equipment are regularly inspected for their correct functions and safe for operational uses
• Ensures the tidiness and cleanliness of the working bench so that a safe and decent work place is maintained
• Follows up all deficiencies noted during regular inspection and take ownership to carry out necessary works and reports to his/her superiors at first instant for any breakdown that will affect operations
• Maintains good relationship with Contractors in order to get the best service possible
• Assists in operation of appointed attractions and related tasks
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments
• Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

• A relevant bachelor’s degree or certificate will be considered as an advantage.
• Familiarity the DJ with the equipment and software required during the performances.
• A minimum of two (2) years of pertinent experience on a related position.
• Experience as a House DJ in hotel environment will be considered as an advantage.

Skills / Competencies

• Excellent knowledge and command of English and Greek languages (verbal and written)
• Friendly with a sense of humour
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills, showcasing appropriate body language, tone of voice and clear speech.
• Ability to work on flexible shifts including overnight, weekends, and holiday on a rotation basis
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently
• Welcoming, energetic, and engaging with the audience.
• Ability to perform under pressure and have an aptitude for problem solving
• Up to date with the latest songs and music trend
