The Graphics Editor is responsible for completing day-to-day operational tasks set within the Images department and needs extensive hands-on experience within the digital media/artwork landscapes and be a source of specialist knowledge. There must be great attention to detail and a thirst for troubleshooting to resolve technical and workflow-related issues. Other key attributes are the ability and willingness to be as flexible and adaptable as possible. Must have good communication skills, be open-minded in their approach to work, and be willing to review and suggest change where necessary, working very closely with the Team Lead and Graphics Manager.

The Graphics Editor is also responsible for the timely creation, editing, and overall provision of graphic imagery to meet the client's needs. They are responsible for sourcing and storing the image elements given by the supplier (or otherwise sourced on behalf of). Liaising with members of the Client Services team, the images will be produced to spec promptly and professionally.

Role and Responsibilities

• Raise tickets to technology of workflow related issues and queries to avoid breaching agreed SLA’s.

• Play your part in maintaining a professional, productive, and collaborative team culture.

• The creation of compliance safe images to spec in a timely and professional manner.

• Keeping track of, and updating work orders, sourcing images and creating high quality mezzanine files.

• Efficient and reliable QA of image creation and adaption. The ability to recognise, diagnose and solve image-based faults.

• Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

• Management of internal image source library, providing a clear and usable system for the discovery and filing of source and end-point imagery

• Complete projects by coordinating with key Vubiquity departments.

• Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

• Effective and professional communication of issues, actions and resolutions covering all the responsibilities of the role across our client and supplier base, including co-departments.

All you need is...

• Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Digital graphic design production experience.

• A high level of competence with Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent image creation/manipulation software).

• Image / graphic / photographic background.

• Experience in a quality assurance / quality control role.

• Experience in a client facing role liaising with remote customers on the status and resolution of issues.

• A good level of competence in common office applications.

• Ability to effectively operate within diverse and cross-functional groups.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including a qualitative and quantitative skill set.

• Demonstrated success with working effectively with technical players.

• Ability to accommodate change and adapt accordingly.

• Excellent communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results.

• Highly responsible and self-motivated, able to thrive in an energetic, fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

• Team player who can build relationships at all levels of the organization.
