MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Checking contracts, generating and issuing sales invoices
• Preparing daily/weekly cash reports
• Preparing bank reconciliations
• General ledger postings supplier and sales postings, deferred expenditure/income
• Issuing weekly/monthly supplier payment runs and making payments
• Prepare accounts to trial balance stage including a full balance sheet review e.g. control account reconciliations for bank, accounts receivable and payable
• General administration and reporting as they arise
• Posting inter-company movement and confirming balances with approximately 30 other offices

QUALIFICATIONS

• Perfect spoken and written English is essential, Greek would also be advantageous
• A very good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word is a must. Knowledge of the accounting package QuickBooks would also be advantageous. The candidate should have a good understanding of bookkeeping/double entry as outlined above
• Qualifications or a decent background in finance is a must
• The role therefore requires strong organisational skills and good all round accounts
