VACANCY FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICER (POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW)

THE POSITION

We seek to recruit a post-doctoral fellow for the position of Intellectual Property Officer in our dynamic team of experts.

Profile of the ideal candidate

The successful candidate will manage the company’s intellectual property assets, by evaluating and identifying potential inventions and recommending intellectual property safeguards in order to protect and grow the company’s asset portfolio. Prior experience in managing intellectual property is not required. The successful candidate will receive appropriate training for intellectual property and asset management.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and file appropriate copyright and trademark registrations
• Develop in-depth knowledge of company’s research projects, policies and procedures
• Identify novel, key technological advances and prepare patent applications for filing
• Maintain awareness of the evolving IP landscape  and report to management
• Consult/Liaise with company’s IP attorneys to assist them in determining IP patentability
• Prepare confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs) and material transfer agreements (MTAs)
• Adhere to strict deadlines
• Perform related duties as assigned 

Requirements:

• PhD degree in Biological Science, Biochemistry, Genetics or in a closely related field
• Excellent verbal and written skills, including technical drafting skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Enthusiastic attitude and good communication skills
• Fluent in Greek and English languages, both written and spoken
