On behalf of a client, a company that is setting up an AIFM in Limassol, we seek to recruit an experienced, business-oriented, and ambitious professional to establish and lead the Risk Management Function of the company. The Risk Manager will be part of the core team of the entity and member of the Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Have overall responsibility for the Risk Management function of the company.

• Establish and implement adequate risk management systems, in order to identify, measure, manage and monitor appropriately all risks relevant to each AIF investment strategy and to which each AIF is or may be exposed.

• Recommend risk mitigation strategies to other members of the Board.

• Manage regulatory reporting, ensuring the correctness of deliverables and that submission deadlines are met.

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

• Keep up to date with key developments and regulatory requirements related to own role.

• Inform the other members of the Board of any updates in the regulatory environment.

• Cooperate with other departments to ensure the that the services provided to clients are of the highest ethical, integrity and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Maths, Risk Management or other related field.   

• Holder of CySEC Advanced certification.

• Holder of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA or FRM) will be considered an advantage.

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar position or function in a regulated entity.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.

• Computer literacy.

• Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements.

• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Highest ethical standards.
