THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, Periyiali Konnos Villas Beach Resort, a newly established unique destination in Konnos area - Protaras, comprising exclusive luxury villas, a private Club House with high-quality Restaurants and Bars, personalised service, Spa and other facilities, we seek to recruit an energetic and high calibre professional for the position of Porter.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of outstanding and excellent service to the Resort’s guests, including among other, acting as the first point of contact of guests, greeting them, carrying their luggage to and from their accommodation, and providing any support and assistance required.

More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

• Greet guests upon arrival
• Provide assistance to guests with disabilities and special needs
• Park and/or retrieve guests’ cars
• Escorts guests to their accommodation
• Carry luggage to/from the parking area and accommodation
• Collect luggage from guest accommodation
• Look after left luggage
• Promote the services and facilities offered by the Resort
• Distribute resident communications / notifications to residents (e.g. events, pest control notices, fire drills, works on site, personal messages)
• Drive the golf-cart around the Resort
• Show guests to their accommodation and brief them about the features of the accommodation and services provided in the Resort
• Provide support and assistance in the set-up of any events and conferences (e.g. move furniture, update signs, carry equipment, etc.)
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of Resort areas within their responsibility (e.g. lobby, reception area)
• Monitor in-going and out-going traffic within the Resort, ensuring all the required measures are taken for the safety of guests
• Ensure the safety of guests by placing the appropriate signage (e.g. wet floors, wet paint)
• Answer any questions / general enquiries guests may have and liaise with the Concierge to further support them as needed (e.g. to arrange transport, make restaurant reservations, enquire about local places of interest or restaurant recommendations)
• Assist front desk staff with their duties
• Execute any other duties assigned

REQUIREMENTS              

• At least two (2) years of proven experience in a similar position in a Luxury Hotel
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality
• Strong customer service skills
• Professional appearance and behaviour
• Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages
• Knowledge of any other language will be considered as an advantage
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings
