Position summary

The purpose of SAT-7 is to provide Christian television to support the work and witness of the church in the Middle East and North Africa.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Graphic Designer to join us in our International Office in Cyprus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, thumbnails, banners and retouching of images. He/she will be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, Ads and other online product and packagings.

The graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, he/she needs to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. Needs to communicate well and work methodically as part of a team.  The Graphic Designer will be reporting directly to the SAT-7 PARS Creativity Manager.

Summary of key responsibilities

• Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
• Creating images & layouts by using design software (Adobe's Creative Suite)
• Design web pages, program logos, signs, online ads and other communication materials.
• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop concept of illustrations and other designs using software
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and in line with SAT-7’s branding
• Working closely with the social media team for further development of Social media pages, APP, website etc.
• Designing and creating Thumbnails for SAT-7 PLUS application, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube posts/programs
• Designing and creating banners for SAT-7 PARS’ Website and PARS Facebook
• Designing and creating package for Advertising campaigns on social media platforms
• Designing and creating Logos for PARS’ programs, E-Newsletter and E-Magazines, E-Letters and backgrounds for social media pages
• Retouching RAW pictures and turning them into eye catching images for programs
• Designing and Creating branding for social media pages/programs
• Designing and creating customized and advanced PDF for online purposes
• Designing and creating PowerPoint for PR purposes

Qualifications and requirements

• Proven designing experience (3 to 5 years of experience, creativity & innovation)
• A strong portfolio of Photoshop and illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• A keen and sharp eye for details
• Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
• Fluency in English is a must, knowledge of Farsi is a very big advantage
• Good IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software
• Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image
• Flexibility and availability to work on urgent tasks outside of working hours
• Web Design as well as UI & UX design for APP is a big plus
• Knowing how to create and work with PowerPoint in an advance level is a plus
• Knowing how to work with Adobe Acrobat Pro is a plus
• Knowledge about video editing and motion graphic design is a plus

Location

The position can be based in Nicosia or Limassol with the option to work from home some days of the week
