CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International company with regional offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Database Administrator to join their expanding team. The successful applicant will hold a relevant academic background relating to Information Technology and possess a sound understanding of database design as well as knowledge of Transact SQL. This is a junior-level position and would suit a candidate with approximately 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.

Role Overview:
 
You will be responsible for understanding all bugs and system issues reported by users, preparing examples to demonstrate issue to developers and ensure developers fix all issues. You will help to test all new features and existing features within software version releases. This includes preparing a snag list and improvement suggestions for new features when delivered. Developing SQL queries to make any data corrections from the database if  they cannot be fixed from the system.
 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

• Educated to Degree level in Information Technology or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Excellent understanding of database design and experience in Transact SQL.
• Experience in software support and working closely with users.
• Strong command of the English language (Written & Spoken).
• Excellent communication skills.
