Company Description:

On behalf of our Client, an International Investment Group, we seek to recruit a high caliber professional for the position of Chief Accountant, to be based at our client’s offices in Limassol.

Job Duties:

Reporting to CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for the financial statement group processes, tax filings, including monitoring of the annual financial and tax audits and the consolidated financial statements while supervising the day-to-day accounting activities for providing guidance and support to his/her team in order to ensure maximum performance. More specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing guidance and supervising the preparation of financial statements and reports according to Group standards and business priorities Group standards and business priorities
• Overseeing, directing and guiding all activities of the accounting team
• Performing budget control & monthly review of actual vs budget
• Acting as liaison for both our intercompany accounting to the finance teams in our foreign operations in Greece, Italy, Romania, Germany and USA as well as our external accountants and partner.
• Monitoring the IFRS periodically statutory financial statements (Standalone and Consolidated)
• Liaising with external partners such as auditors and tax advisors
• Reviewing VAT and Tax submissions and ensure Tax Compliancy
• Ensuring the published results are accurate, timely, consistent and a fair presentation of performance and corporate actions.
• Developing and coaching the team members as to ensure that there are the required capabilities for the provision of a high-quality accounting services
• Preparing and reviewing monthly financial results to ensure compliance with the Group’s accounting policy
• Supervising the entry and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
• Maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.

Qualifications:

• A University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or in a related field
• Related post graduate degree will be considered an advantage
• Professional qualification as ACA/ACCA/CPA
• Proven track record and at least 8 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a multinational environment managing Accounting and Finance operations
• Sound IFRS knowledge
• Experience with consolidation and Tax/Transfer pricing processes
• Working knowledge of Navision ERP software will be considered as an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
• Computer literacy
