CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of the Islands Leading Insurance Companies with headquarters in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Actuarial Officer to join their expanding team of professionals.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Perform technical provision and solvency capital calculations.
• Perform financial projections and embedded value calculations.
• Perform statistical analysis of the Company mortality, expense and lapse experience.
• Perform reinsurance calculations analysis, negotiate and maintain treaties.
• Assist in the proper application and testing of actuarial requirements in administration systems.
• Produce reports for internal and external (regulatory or otherwise) submission.
• Remain up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and standards.
• Provide actuarial support in response to customer requirements.
• Ensure and maintain data completeness and accuracy.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or an Insurance related subject.
• Fully or Partly Qualified Actuary.
• At least 5 years of experience in Life insurance actuarial positions.
• Knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and Solvency II regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and information processing skills.
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both in verbal and written form.
• Excellent computer literacy skills, in particular strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VBA.
• Ability to create detailed and concise reports and present findings to senior management.
• Proactive, self-motivated and driven, taking initiatives and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of the Prophet system is preferable and will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of unit-linked product characteristics.
• Confidentiality, discretion and good judgment.
