Our client is a CIF licensed and regulated by the CySec and they are looking to employ an dynamic and experienced candidate to fill the role of Head of Compliance

Job Details:

• Ongoing monitoring and oversight of regulatory development relevant to the activities of the company in Cyprus
  Informing relevant decision makers of the relevant legal/regulatory updates; quarterly reporting to the Board
• Communication with / Reporting to CySec
• Monitoring of the CySec reporting schedule for all activities of the Company (including Finance, Dealing and Customer facing (i.e. complaints))
• Revising procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
• Compliance monitoring and quarterly review of all company operations, in line with the regulatory guidelines AND audit findings
• Supervision of Customer Facing Department for complaints handling and verification
• Oversight and approval of any marketing materials
• Oversight and approval of any verification-related training
• Supervision of the AML Compliance Function, especially for client onboarding and verification
• Ensuring the company has appropriate structure / governance, of which CySec is notified
• Cooperation with Legal Department on maintaining the company’s T&Cs up to date with the relevant legislation
• Cooperation with the Product and Ops team to ensure the Compliance function has the necessary reports required for ongoing monitoring
• Independent function, reporting directly to the Board
• Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks

Job Prerequisites:

• Academic Degree – Finance or Legal desired
• Previous job experience in a related field
• Extensive knowledge and experience with CySec regulations
• Open to creative solutions & business innovation; a team player
• Strong communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable to communicate with the senior management, directors and the regulator
• Strong verbal skills
• Fluent in English and Greek

The company is offering a salary based on skills and experience +- 3000 Euros gross plus benefits including Medical Insurance
