We are currently seeking a Financial Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated finance professional to contribute to the Group’s overall financial strategy and ensure effective financial management across all operations—including both our core Hospitality Division and our growing Construction & Development activities.
In this role, you will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide strategic direction to the Debtors and Creditors teams across the Group, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient execution of all tasks.
- Oversee all financial accounting and reporting functions for both the Hospitality operations and the Construction & Development Division.
- Review and validate key financial calculations, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and internal policies.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, maintaining adherence to timelines and reporting standards.
- Prepare and consolidate standalone and group-wide management accounts and other internal financial reports to aid in decision-making.
- Monitor financial transactions across business units, investigate variances, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Review debtor reconciliations and ageing analyses; follow up on outstanding balances and implement effective collection strategies.
- Oversee the end-to-end creditors’ cycle, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliation of accounts payable.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across all departments to resolve payment or accounting issues.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Finance Department and other divisions, including Construction, and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Ensure adherence to company-wide financial policies, controls, and compliance procedures.
- Mentor, train, and support the development of team members within the finance department.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to Bookkeepers and supporting staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
- 3+ years of experience in a financial management position
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax laws, and VAT regulations
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Fluent in both Greek and English (written and verbal)
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry will be considered an advantage
