About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Oracle Database Administrator to join our client’s team in Nicosia. This onsite role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in Oracle database management and basic Linux experience to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Manage backup and recovery operations using tools like RMAN to safeguard data integrity.
• Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.
• Assist in developing and maintaining database security protocols.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to support database needs for applications and projects.
• Utilize Linux command-line tools to manage and support the database environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 1-3 years in Oracle Database Administration.
• Familiarity with Oracle Database 12c/19c or similar versions.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and ability to use shell commands.
• Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with backup and recovery tools like RMAN.
• Understanding of database monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Oracle Database Administration (e.g., OCA, OCP).
• Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).
• Familiarity with PL/SQL programming and scripting.
