Columbia Group is looking for a responsible IT Project Manager to administer and organize various types of projects, from simpler activities to more complex IT project. As a Project Manager your responsibilities include working closely with the project team performing various managing and administrative task, communicating with various internal and external stakeholders. Ultimately, the Project Manager’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards in coordination and alignment with all stakeholders. This is a full-time position based in our office in Limassol, suitable for motivated people who enjoy working in a challenging environment and have a passion for technology and its ability to transform business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope of project;

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects;

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;

  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines funding, and staffing;

  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed;

  • Make sure stakeholders needs are documented and included in a transparent change management process;

  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders;

  • Collects, analyses and summarises information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports;

  • Facilitates the change management process and change plan within the project;

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field;

  • 2+ years of proven experience in project management or in a similar role, demonstrating successful management of projects from initiation to completion;

  • Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them;

  • Organised with attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions;

  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem solving skills;

  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills;

  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning;

  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures, practices and trends;

  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialised applications and software, used in the organisation and the industry;

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software;

  • Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.

  • Ability to plan, guide creative workshop sessions for project kick-offs, envisioning and other presentations related to the IT projects executed;

  • Ensure quality assurance and project governance as defined within COLUMBIA Group.

Skills that will be considered as an advantage:

  • Professional certification (CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2);

  • Experience with project management tools;

  • Ability to present and train/teach IT related subjects;

  • Knowledge of the maritime industry.
