The Client:

On behalf of our Client, a Banking Institution in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer.

The Position:

The Infrastructure Engineer will play a crucial role in the organization's technology division, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the system infrastructure that supports the banking operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing system infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.

• Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing necessary enhancements.

• Collaborating with application developers to deploy applications and ensure efficient system integration.

• Conducting regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.

• Troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues promptly and effectively.

• Planning and executing system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to banking operations.

• Collaborating with network engineers to optimize network infrastructure and ensure seamless connectivity.

Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as an infrastructure Engineer in a banking or financial services environment will be consider an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of Networks, system administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Proficiency in virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V will be considered an advantage.

• Familiarity with storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell.

• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Location:

The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
