CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Legal Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Shipping Legal Administrator to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Shipping Legal Administrator, you will primarily be responsible for processing a wide range of client requests with the Shipping Deputy Ministry here in Cyprus, and in other flag administrations. An academic background relating to Law, Shipping or similar is highly desirable, and full members of the Cyprus Bar Association are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess approximately 2+ years of relevant professional experience with shipping processes and procedures performed at the Shipping Deputy Ministry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English, with any additional language skills considered a plus. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, including 13th Salary, and Provident Fund.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Processing of a range procedures at the Shipping Deputy Ministry and in other flag administrations on behalf of clients.
- Liaising with Clients, with the Shipping Deputy Ministry and with other flag administrations on a daily basis.
- Drafting of corporate authorities and other requisite legal or other documents, applications, forms etc. pertaining to the procedures at the Shipping Deputy Ministry and in other flag administrations.
- Drafting and publication of articles or newsletters on shipping matters.
- Updating the Clients for any announcements or circulars issued by the Shipping Deputy Ministry and with regards to any changes in the relevant laws or in the procedures of the Shipping Deputy Ministry and of other flag administrations.
- Collaborating with the Firm’s legal team to support clients on legal issues pertaining to the Shipping Department.
- Attending conferences or other events in Cyprus or abroad and marketing the services of the Firm.
- Undertake any other responsibilities in the Firm’s Shipping Department, according to the needs of the Firm.
Key Skills/Experience:
- An academic background relating to Law, Shipping, or similar is desirable.
- Members of the Cyprus Bar Association are encouraged to apply.
- Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience mainly with shipping processes and procedures performed at the Shipping Deputy Ministry.
- Fluent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and oral.
- Ability to write articles.
- Excellent use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Dynamic with pleasant personality.
- Self-motivated and able to cooperate efficiently with co-workers.
