Treasury Manager
We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Treasury Managerto join our dynamic team at HFM.
The Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's treasury function, ensuring the efficient management of financial assets and liabilities, liquidity management, risk management, and strategic planning. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to optimize the company's financial performance.
Your role at HFM:
- Design and implement cash forecasting models to optimise cash utilization and ensure liquidity.
- Monitor cash positions and execute funding transactions, including intercompany transfers and investments, to meet operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to invest excess cash to maximise returns while managing associated risks.
- Develop and implement foreign exchange risk management strategies to mitigate currency exposure.
- Execute trades and hedging transactions as necessary to protect against adverse currency movements.
- Monitor market conditions and provide timely risk management recommendations to senior management.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.
- Negotiate banking terms, fees, and services to optimise banking arrangements.
- Monitor banking services and performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Manage governance related to banking relationships, including maintaining banking mandates and authorized signatory lists.
- Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements related to treasury operations, including regulatory capital (for financial services entities), liquidity, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and examinations of treasury activities.
- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and counterparty credit risk.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and policies, in collaboration with the risk department, to safeguard the organization’s financial assets.
- Monitor key risk indicators and implement controls to mitigate potential exposures.
- Lead initiatives to modernise and automate treasury processes, transitioning from manual to more automated systems and workflows.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains through technology adoption, including treasury management systems (TMS) and fintech solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to design and implement optimised treasury processes and systems.
- Drive change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in treasury or a related financial management role, with 3+ years in a leadership position.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management practices.
- Proven experience in cash management, investment management, and debt management.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
EU/EFTA citizens OR holders of a Cyprus work permit OR foreign nationals married to an EU citizen.
