CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a fully licensed, independent insurance brokerage, with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Insurance Broker (Marine) to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Insurance Broker, you will primarily be responsible for working closely with clients in relation to their insurance needs, as well as liaising with underwriters and insurance market service providers. An academic background in Business, Finance, Insurance, or another closely related field is desirable, and any relevant industry relevant certifications/qualifications will be considered a plus. Our client is seeking applicants who possess approximately 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with a particular focus on the marine insurance sector, including working with or as a broker. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience which includes a 13th Salary, Provident Fund, Medical Insurance, and a performance related bonus.  

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Liaising with Clients for their insurance needs.
  • Liaising with underwriters and insurance market service providers as requested.
  • Responsible for Clients insurance placements, renewals, negotiations, day to day requirements and policy documents administration.
  • Review and analyse policy documents and advise and guide Clients on suitable insurance coverage, terms and conditions etc...
  • Liaising with the various relevant departments (internal and external) for timely payment of premiums.
  • Preparation of weekly internal reports.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • An academic background in Business, Finance, Insurance, or another closely related field is desirable.
  • Approximately 5+ years of proven experience in the insurance sector is essential.
  • Previous experience specifically in the Marine Insurance industry is a must.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to meet clients and to travel.
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative.
  • Committed to professionalism and client service.
