On behalf of our client, a leading global financial brokerage business with HQ in London and presence in more than 10 countries, we seek to recruit an experienced and high calibre KYC On Boarding Analyst, to be based in Limassol.

The Position

The appointed professional will be reporting to the Head of Financial Crime and On-Boarding and will be expected, amongst other, to:

  • Liaise with Account Executive(s) to ensure KYC and CDD requirements and internal client on-boarding requirements meet internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide general advice on KYC and CDD requirements and provide information on status of accounts to account executives and other internal functions/ stakeholders as required.
  • Perform and analyse CDD checks and assess underlying financial Crime/reputational and other risks as part of client on boarding.

 Ensure risks are appropriately considered and escalated to, and mitigated with the Head of Financial Crime and On-Boarding and/or MLRO.

  •  Develop, prepare and present monthly MI on client on-boarding.
  • Conduct QA assurance reviews in a timely manner, escalating to Financial Crime.
  • Conduct KYC profiles, reviews and investigations when requested by Financial Crime.
  • Obtain appropriate documentation from recognised sources to verify CDD and associated KYC / financial Crime risks.
  • Conduct sanctions screening and escalate any potential/ true matches to Financial Crime immediately.
  • Assist in the processing and on-going maintenance of Broker / Bank / Introducing Broker and other 3rd party relationships.
  • Ad hoc functions relating to KYC including name changes, trigger risk reviews, re-opening of accounts, collation of data for on-going reviews, and remediation of existing client files.

Requirements

  • University degree from a reputable academic institution in Finance or in Business Administration or in any other related field
  • At least three (3) years’ experience within the financial sector
  • Experience in conducting customer on-boarding at a financial institution
  • Understanding of UK Financial Crime and KYC/CDD requirements will be considered an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of 4th/5th Money Laundering Regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
