CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding Electronic Money Institution, licensed by the Central Bank of Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Treasury Officer to join their team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for interpreting data and analysing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports to the Financial Controller. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Data Analysis, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related field and possess proven experience within a similar position. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential as well and fluency in both written and spoken English.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to the Management.
• Daily review (on a sample basis) the accuracy of charges deducted based on agreements.
• Prepare and calculate the monthly charges and provide analysis.
• Export data from the system for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and semi-annual regulatory reporting’s.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations.
• Daily reconciliation of receivables to bank
• Work closely with the Treasury and Revenue Assurance Teams and locate/define new process improvement opportunities.
• Provide feedback of information regarding merchant reconciliations to other departments or to management whenever needed.

Key Skills/Experience:

• An academic background relating to Data Analysis, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst, Reconciliation Analyst or Accountant is a must.
• Technical expertise in the areas of data modeling, database mining as well as segmentation techniques.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel (tables & formatting, conditional formatting, advanced charting, pivot tables & pivot reporting, VBA & Macros, data tables, simulations & solver).
• Banking experience will be considered an advantage.
• Highly skilled and confident with technology.
• Proficiency in English (both written and oral).
• Attention to detail & the ability to work under pressure.
