Packaging Engineer

Delorbis Pharmaceuticals Ltdinvites applications for the position of Packaging Engineer based at our premises in Nicosia, CYPRUS.

The position works within a structure that requires considerable cross functional collaboration with external and internal customers/suppliers and will provide vital expertise in support of the packaging value chain activities. This role will also have broad responsibilities supporting the packing operations driving continuous improvements, cost savings and sustainable goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Integrate and implement packaging designs within the product development process.
• Interact with suppliers ensuring correct specifications of materials and plant.
• Establish standards and guidelines to evaluate and review suppliers.
• Drive harmonisation of packaging formats and assets promoting efficiency and innovation within the confinements of the customer’s needs.
• Perform process investigations, initiate CAPAs and change controls.
• Coordinate line trial to ensure package performance, including packaging process validations.
• Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely and cost effective solutions.

Experience and Skills:

• University degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or other related field.
• Self-starting, diligent and detail-driven.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least 3 years’ experience in highly regulated packaging environment Pharmaceutical industry is of considered beneficial.
• Fluency in English/Greek language.
