Advance Career Ltd, on behalf of our client a Shipping Company located in Limassol is seeking to employ a Back End Developer;

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the gathering of requirements, designing and implementing new features and building reusable and scalable
• code and libraries for future use.
• Maintaining and refactoring of existing and new websites and optimizing company websites for speed and flexibility.
• Researching and integrating new web technologies and providing recommendations for emerging trends.

Qualifications :

• BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other relevant degree
• Previous experience in a similar job role
• Experienced in Scala and/or Java
• Experienced in building reactive systems
• With strong and demonstrable problem-solving ability
• Comfortable with self-management and on-the-job learning
• Curious and passionate about new technologies
• With the ability to teach and share knowledge to his/her peers.
• Experience with Akka, Play/Lagom Framework
• Experience with building streaming applications
• Experience with branching strategies in Git and as well as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices
• Working experience of container technologies (Docker) and micro-service architecture.
• Experience working with Elasticsearch
• Experience working with Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis
• Knowledge and experience on any cloud provider like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience in Scrum and agile methodologies
• Experience with JIRA.
