CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding CySEC Licensed Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the successful applicant will play a key role assisting with day-to-day compliance matters, in line with regulatory and legal requirements as well as the company’s internal policies and procedures. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Law and possess approximately 4+ years of prior experience in a similar role working for an Investment Firm regulated within the EU. You will hold a relevant CySEC certification (Advanced and/or AML) and be fluent in both Greek & English. Our client is able to offer Hybrid working conditions to the successful applicant.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Head Compliance Officer.
• Assist with the day-to-day compliance in line with regulatory and legal requirements and the company’s policies and procedures.
• Performing risk assessments in relation to compliance risks.
• Assist in the drafting of compliance related reports to the authorities (CySEC, NCAs, CBC, etc.).
• Draft, modify and implement the company's policies, procedures and handbooks, as needed to reflect industry best practices, the evolving regulatory environment and changes to the business.
• Research, identify and report on a wide variety of compliance related matters due to the introduction of new legislation or best practices.
• Maintain oversight of the relevant Compliance registers.
• Add in the function’s strategic planning and decision making.
• Liaise with auditors/examiners during compliance audits/examinations as assigned.
• Evaluate compliance systems and ensure their adequacy thereof.
• Perform desk-based reviews to the company’s functions, systems and procedures as per the Company’s Compliance Monitoring Program.
• Undertake any other compliance related matter and project, as assigned.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Ideally educated to degree level in Law or a related field.
• CySEC Advanced certification and/or CySEC AML certification.
• Approximately 4+ years’ experience in a compliance related role in an EU regulated investment Firm.
• Detailed knowledge of laws and regulations affecting business operations.
• Ability to interpret and advice on the application of various laws and regulations.
• Able to multitask, work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work on own initiative, use independent judgement, prioritize workload and pay attention to details.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Greek.
