Audit Assistant Manager - Regional Audit Delivery Centre Team Leader | Audit and Assurance Department

We are seeking to recruit dynamic and high calibre professionals for the role of Audit Assistant Manager - Offshore Audit Delivery Centre Team Leader. The successful job incumbents will reside at the Regional Audit Delivery Centre (RADC) in Bucharest, Romania, where they will be seconded for a period of maximum 2 years.

The RADC, which consists of 18 teams/Member Firms, is part of Deloitte Central Europe. It was established to provide Audit services to Deloitte member firms across Europe, and it is part of a strongly integrated Deloitte network of Global Delivery Centres that operates across the world. The Centre is key in supporting the various Member Firms with the execution and delivery of audit engagements. Its methods, breadth and depth in capabilities and experienced teams uniquely position the RADC to deliver high quality Audit services.

Prior to going on secondment, it is expected that the successful candidates will spend 3-6 months onshore to familiarise themselves with the ways of working. At the end of the secondment, they will join the onshore audit team in our Limassol or Nicosia office.

The Team

Our RADC supports the onshore Audit and Assurance engagement teams with the completion of Audit processes. The RADC is designed to:

• Support administrative activity as part of the wider Audit Transformation Programme

• Help the onshore audit teams across the audit engagement lifecycle through performing standard audit tasks

• Provide a range of support services to reduce the levels of standard audit work placed on the onshore audit teams

• Improve quality standards and efficiency

The Role

This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain international experience in our Audit Delivery Centre in Romania. The successful candidates’ main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Managing and optimising the team’s workflow and utilisation to ensure the allocation, completion and delivery of audit package work is to a high standard and quality within an appropriate time frame

• Supporting, advising and monitoring team members in the completion and delivery of a range of audit tasks and undertaking detailed reviews of their work

• Building relationships within the Firm and acting as the overarching point of contact for onshore engagement teams in relation to the completion and delivery of audit work

• Monitoring team attendance and addressing any issues, such as return-to-work discussions after sickness absence, correct allocation and booking of annual leave in adherence to local procedures

• Acting as a Team Leader and Coach for team members, collating appropriate performance related materials for formal performance reviews and supporting their wellbeing

• Assisting with the development, review and delivery of training to the team providing guidance and mentorship

• Participating in the recruitment process, interviewing candidates and supporting with the review of assessment centre/tests as required

• Helping to promote the delivery centre through presentations and other marketing activity

• Collaborating with the Deloitte Middle East RADC leader

Requirements

• Holder of ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification

• At least 5 years of auditing work experience

• Previous line management experience will be considered as an advantage

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in identifying key risks, respective control strategies and ability to assess good control design

• Strong sense of ownership accountability and drive to deliver quality outcomes

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with emerging coaching and development capability

• Demonstrated a commitment to developing yourself and others
