POSITION SUMMARY:
The main role of the Receiver, Supply Chain is to communicate with various departments to ensure outward/ inward packages are properly directed to Shipping & Receiving.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists management in evaluating, suppliers/contractors
- Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment
- Follows all company policies and procedures
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary information; protects company assets
- Anticipates and addresses colleague/suppliers’ service needs
- Communicates with others using clear and professional language; answers telephones using appropriate etiquette
- Is knowledgeable of suppliers/colleagues' suggestions for improving how work is done
- Reads and visually verifies information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
- Visually inspects tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
- Enters and locates work-related information using computers and/or scanners
- Manipulates objects of various size and weight: moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, grasps, turns (weighing less than or equal to 25 Kilogram without assistance)
- Reconciles shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy
- Stacks received merchandise on pallets or carts
- Receives and stages merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to the appropriate department
- Receives, unloads, and processes deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports
- Verifies and tracks received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs
- Oversees the return process by verifying counts, shipping addresses, labels, etc
- Locks and unlocks secure merchandise storage areas
- Check-in merchandise, reports bad pallets, prints, and places slot labels, and checks current inventory levels
- Uses technology to send, receive, and print out product requisitions
- Notifies manager/supervisor of low stock levels in a timely manner
- Completes requisition forms for inventory and supplies
- Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Carries out other duties that may from time to time be delegated to him/her
- Maintains accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions; ensures accurate billing of outgoing packages
- Communicates with management regarding package loss or damage
- Maintains clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly
- Maintains and organizes all received pallets until the product is “broken down”, removed and/or stored. Operates forklift/pallet jack
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: minimum 2 years of experience as a Goods Receiver more preferably in the hospitality sector
- Education: Bachelor Degree (preferred graduate in commerce, economics) is considered an advantage
- Holder of clean Driving License
Skills
- Computer literate, especially in MS Excel
- Good command in English language both written and spoken
