Position: Manager – Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Team| Central Risk Department

The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Team of Central Risk Department of Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus is seeking to recruit dynamic and high calibre professionals to join the team at the level of Manager, in our Nicosia or Limassol offices.

The Team

The Central Risk Department is handling matters pertaining to Compliance; Regulatory; Anti-Money Laundering (AML); Ethics; Anti-Corruption; Independence and Risk Management for the entire Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus region. This is a unique opportunity to engage in cross-border collaboration with Deloitte professionals across the Deloitte network, broadening your knowledge and building your competencies and skills.

The Role

The successful candidates’ key responsibilities include, among others:

  • Assist and consult with the Middle East Central Client Acceptance Team (MECCAT) on a continuous (day-to-day) basis on AML Matters
  • Provide AML Risk approvals to the MECCAT through the Firm’s client risk assessment tool (every year for high risk and all others split in a 3-year period)
  • Be responsible for all AML Subject Matter Specialist consultations
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring and review of the clients’ AML risk assessment
  • Prepare regular reporting on client data from client acceptance and risk tools to the AML Central Team
  • Prepare reports as required by regulators on data for client acceptance and Risk Assessment. Review of Laws and Regulations and report any updates across all 15 jurisdictions of the Deloitte Middle East
  • Manage the technical training on the Risk Assessment Tool used by MECCAT and KYC Client Outreach Tool

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degree from a reputable University in any field
  • Partly or newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA/CFA/CIA will be considered an advantage
  • ACAMS or similar or ICA Qualification will also be considered an advantage
  • Experience in a supervisory /consulting role for a minimum of 5 years of which at least 3 years in an AML related position, especially with regard to onboarding and reviewing clients
  • Understanding of key financial industry regulations and AML Laws is of paramount importance
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve results
  • Strong business and commercial awareness
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Legal and moral integrity
  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
