The Company
The company is one of our clients, a top-rated professional services firm, offering Fiduciary, Accounting, Tax and Advisory services.

We are actively looking to hire, on their behalf, a Client Relationship and Accounting Manager for its offices in Nicosia.

 

The Position:

The Manager will serve as a liaison for a specific portfolio of clients, developing relationships, providing guidance and support and ensuring all of the client’s requirements are being met. Furthermore, the Manager will be directly responsible for all matters pertaining to the provision of Accounting and Financial Reporting services. See below an indicative list of the duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Client Relationship:

  • Liaises with the Clients and all departments of the Firm and / or external associates and ensures the prompt response to all enquiries at the required quality and standard

  • Ensures via the cooperation of the Firm’s specialised departments and his/her own team the good standing of companies, under management, including:

    • Accounting, VAT, VIES, Payroll Compliance etc

    • Audit and Tax Compliance

    • Banking relationships and Compliance

    • Filings with the Cyprus Registrar of Companies and / or other Registries and payment of the applicable Governmental Levies

    • Corporate and AML Compliance 

    • Client liaising and communication, attending to meetings in Cyprus and / or overseas

  • Supports his/her Director with the client development, client onboarding procedures, AML Annual Reviews, transaction monitoring and other pertinent matters

B. Accounting:

  • Review of the monthly payroll reports, Quarterly VAT Reports and monthly VIES Declarations

  • Review of Accounting Records and Reports

  • Preparation of Management Accounts and / or other Reports depending on client needs/requirements

  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements (in line with IFRS)

  • Assistance with the preparation of provisional corporation income tax computations

C. Other:

  • Assignment of specialised work/responsibilities and / or internal projects

  • Other management duties depending on the needs of the Firm

  • Other Internal Administration duties

Skills/ Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • ACA or ACCA or CPA with training at either a Big Four Accounting Firm or equivalent

  • Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience

  • It is preferable that the candidate has experience not just in audit and assurance services but also in other service lines of Accounting Firms such as advisory/consulting, Tax/VAT, Risk Management Services/Internal Audit

  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages

  • Good level of proficiency with MS Office applications including PowerPoint

  • Experience of liaising with auditors in respect of year-end accounts

  • Exposure to VAT and/or Business advisory is advantageous

  • Excellent levels of client service

  • Team player who can work on own initiative

  • The ability to work under pressure adhering to tight deadlines

  • A pro-active approach

  • Adaptable to change

  • Professional attitude and appropriate work ethic. 

  • Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Very good interpersonal skills and time management skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

 

Location 
The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

 

Remuneration
A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
