Tax Manager, Nicosia (Hybrid working model) – TMN/11/22

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a high caliber professional, enthusiastic for the profession who really cares about making a difference and creating value for themselves and others to join their Tax team in Nicosia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional with a solid background in Tax. The successful candidate will report to the Tax Partner and will work closely with the rest of the team to provide a wide range of Tax compliance and advisory services to a large portfolio of clients across all sectors of business in Cyprus and beyond.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Works effectively with all members of the team, building the confidence and respect of peers and subordinates
• Demonstrates a great effort towards the development of his/her people through company’s continuous performance procedures and personal development planning
• Demonstrates sufficient technical knowledge to supervise relevant areas of work and seen as a reference point on technical issues.
• Responsible for planning and performing tax consultancy assignments acting as a first point of contact on specific projects
• Builds a rapport with the individual client and develops a clear and detailed understanding of the business and client expectations
• Deals with a wide range of technical issues and client situations providing intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues
• Writes high quality tax reports, professionally presented documents, requiring minimal input from directors or partners
• Seeks to participate in business development activities and contributes to sales pitches, for own team as well as the wider firm.

Position’s Requirements

• The right candidate must have the ACA/ACCA professional qualification
• At least 3 years’ post qualification experience specializing in Tax
• A professional services background, with demonstrated commercial acumen, experienced in providing practical advice and solutions to clients on tax related matters.
• Up to date technical tax knowledge with related consultancy experience.
• Eager to learn and follow the Company’s methodology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Team oriented personality with proven managerial experience and people skills.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with strong focus on quality.
• Strong command of the Greek and English languages (written and verbal).
• IT literate with sound knowledge and experience of MS Office.
