The Island Private School of Limassol that opened its doors to children in September 2022 - is searching for a Senior finance accountant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in fast and dynamic environment and willing to contribute to creation and further development of the Finance function of the school that will be the largest private school in Cyprus.

The person will be reporting to Finance Director.

In case of good performance, the person may be considered for the promotion to Chief Accountant in two-year perspective.

Job description:

• Overall responsibility for complete, accurate and up to date accounting records
• Capitalized expenses and fixed assets accounting, including depreciation calculation
• Vendor master data management, including vendor bank details management
• Periodic vendor reconciliations, monthly bank reconciliations
• Payroll and related taxes calculation
• Prepare and submit VAT and CIT reporting, liaise with Cyprus Tax and VAT authorities
• Prepare financial reports and analysis when required
• Supervise the accounting records executed by subordinates, including (but not limited) accounts receivable and accounts payable records 
• Participate in design, documentation and implementation of accounting processes and methods of works
• Participate in implementation of accounting software
• Assist Finance Director in preparation of financial statements in according with IFRS
• Assist Finance Director in collaboration with auditors with regards to the audit of the financial statements

Profile:

• University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field.
• Completed or working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
• 4+ experience in accounting / book-keeping in Cyprus, preferable (but not mandatory) in real estate and development industry
• Good knowledge in Cyprus taxation: VAT, CIT, Payroll taxes
• Experience in design, documentation and implementation of accounting processes and methods of work
• Experience in implementation of accounting software and / or automation of accounting processes
• Experience in team management, ability to prioritize and organize the work to achieve the expected results within the set deadlines
• Full proficiency in English and Greek languages
• Comfortable user of MS Office Excel
