CATERING & EVENTS COORDINATOR (Ref. CC01/19)

Café la Mode, member of Voici la Mode Group of Companies, is looking to recruit a high calibre individual for the position of Catering & Events Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all in house and outside functions and events are planned and implemented as per client’s specifications
• Coordinate all aspects of events
• Manage the food and beverage provision for functions and events
• Monitor the quality of the product and service provided
• Plan menus in consultation with chefs  
• Organize, lead and motive the catering team
• Plan shifts and rotas for function and supervise staff during events
• Perform customer satisfaction survey and ensure excellent levels of internal and external customer service
• Manage resources effectively and in line with budget
• Maintain stock levels, order new supplies and manage stock and warehouse
• Control of Catering Equipment and stocks
• Coordinate all Health & Safety procedures and perform weekly inspections to ensure regulations are strictly observed
• Coordinate ISO and HCCP processes and ensure correct implementation
• Ensure compliance with all fire and licencing regulations

Requirements

• Degree in F&B Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or related field
• Prior food service/event planning experience is essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Team work and customer orientation
• Flexibility and problem solving skills
• Available to work long and unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends
