CareerFinders, on behalf of our client an established Trading company with offices in Paphos, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will report to the Finance Manager and handle a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, assisting with the smooth running of the Finance function of the company. You will ideally hold a relevant accounting certification such as the LCCI Higher and possess previous, demonstrable experience within a similar Financial Accounting role. Fluency in English and Greek (Written & Spoken) is a must. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• General accounting and bookkeeping during the month/year to enable closing of month end/year end processes.
• Managing tax payments.
• Completing and submitting VAT returns.
• Monitoring and reporting on accounting discrepancies.
• Any other relevant accounting and bookkeeping duties as required by the Finance Manager.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• LCCI Higher qualification in Accountancy is highly desirable or any other relevant accounting certification.
• Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role is a must.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel; knowledge of SAP and accounting software is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English & Greek (Written & Spoken).  
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
• Experience of dealing with VAT matters and filing VAT returns .
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations and ensuring that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
• Time Management Abilities and attention to detail essential.
• Confidentiality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. 
• Able to work as part of a team or alone.
