CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Lead Web Developer to join their team. The successful applicant will oversee the full project development lifecycle, creating quality software solutions in line with the expectations of the business. You will act as a Lead Web Developer, providing training, guidance and support to less experienced developers within the team. You should be educated to degree level in Computer Science or a related field and possess approximately 5+ years of relevant Web Development experience. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Lead the development and lifetime maintenance of software products, for websites and the lead distribution system.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture.
• Provide the architectural design and quality of the code and adherence to the specification requirements for each project.
• Peer code reviewing.
• Mentor more junior members of the Web Development team.
• Discover training needs and provide in-house/external training when required.
• Work with Product Managers to translate requirements into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions, and identify possible risks.
• Maintain full and up to date documentation of all procedures and deployed software solutions. 
• Write, review, and take responsibility for clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• To continuously review new technologies to optimize performance and improve existing products.
• Work with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the software produced.
• Work with the DevOps Team on the deployment of services to production environments.
• Write effective APIs and use open-source API’s (e.g. Google API’s).
• Provide clear support documentation and training when necessary to production application and for critical out of hours support if necessary.
• Translate UI/UX designs into code and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• BSc/BA in Computer Science or another relevant field.
• Approximately 5+ years of proven experience as Full Stack Web Developer or similar.
• Working in an agile environment with a variety of practices.
• Working Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, Bootstrap).
• Working Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., PHP) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js or Vue.js).
• Understanding of design pattern such as MVC.
• Experience using a third-party CMS.
• Working experience using Jira and Confluence or similar product suites.
• Experience using webservers such as Ngingx or Apache.
• Exposure to WEB API integration, real time systems or web sockets.
• Experience in building mobile applications is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English both written and orally is a mandatory requirement.
• Experience of leading a development team.
• Ability to express ideas clearly, expertly, and diplomatically.
• Able to manage the pressure and tight deadlines.
• Good mathematical ability, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• C# knowledge will be considered a significant advantage.
