Our client, a well-established group operating in the industry of FMCG and food, is looking for an experienced professional to join the Accounting and Finance department

The responsibilities:

• Recording entries of accounting journals in the accounting system
• Maintain books and accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
• Review accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and direct correcting entries
• Reconciles of general ledger accounts (vendors, banks etc)
• Perform month-end accounting activities (general ledger)
• Preparation of basic month-end or any other periodic reports
• Frequent communication with clients for balances of account and manage collection from customers
• Assisting the CFO in the coordination of the year-end audits and in any ad hoc project that may appear

The individual:

• Holder of University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any other related field
• At least 5 years of working experience in book keeping and/or accounting positions
• Experience in similar industry is a must (eg. FMCG industry, Retail, Hotel and/or F&B)
• Computer literate with very good knowledge of a bookkeeping software, MS Office, especially EXCEL 
• Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English
• Ability to meet deadlines and performance of high quality services
• Possessing risk awareness and high integrity when dealing with confidential information
