Medochemie Ltd invites applications from career oriented professionals for the position of RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ORGANIC CHEMIST for our offices in Limassol, CYPRUS.

Duties:

1. To investigate, develop and optimize synthetic routes for the preparation of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and API related substances (Impurities of the Active Substance), by carrying out and monitoring organic reactions, by isolating the required products and by purifying the products, when necessary
2. Development optimization and validation of laboratory scale procedures
3. Scaling up and development of processes to pilot plant scale
4. To evaluate and interpret all characterization data of the prepared substances
5. To write the corresponding reports consisted of the detailed experimental procedures developed for the prepared substances
6. To perform detailed literature searches and review all available literature data for the required related substances; to design synthetic routes if no available experimental procedure can be found in the literature
7. To follow all the guideline’s as per WHO Handbook on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP

 Qualifications:

1. Minimum Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry
2. Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
3. Good command of Office and Chemistry programs
4. Excellent  skills related to organic chemistry
5. Professional approach to work and excellent character
