CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an IT Business Analyst to join their growing team based in Limassol or Nicosia. The successful applicant must be able to understand, analyze and validate requirements from stakeholders and/or end-users, as well as be able to prepare accurate documentation of business requirements. You will ideally hold an academic background in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and possess previous experience in either Business Analysis, Product Ownership or Data Analysis and any previous software development experience will be considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
• Write business requirements documentation in user story format along with use cases for new feature requests.
• Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.
• Create logical and innovative solutions to complex business problems with a focus on automation and improvements to the customer experience.
• Prepare documentation on process flows and present them when needed.
• Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
• Work closely with developers to ensure technical compatibility and end user satisfaction.
• Continuously refine user stories in the backlog to ensure the appropriate level of detail is captured at the right time.
• Define business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Data Analyst will be considered a big advantage.
• Practical software development experience with any programming language will be a strong plus.
• Experience in agile software development methodologies and testing procedures.
• Strong technology and analytical skills.
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
• Ability to quickly learn.
• Growth mindset, challenging status quo to find new solutions and out-of-the-box ideas.
• Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues.
• Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data.
• Experience in the financial services sector will be considered an advantage.
