IMPORT OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

 

LONDOU TRADING LTD with Headquarters in LARNACA exclusive agents and Distributors of well-known FMCG is looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and highly motivated Import Operations & Logistics Coordinator to fulfill a job vacancy in the company.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Logistics and Transportation, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.  
  • 3+ years of proven work experience in import operations and logistics. (Experience in a similar position in a company with food products will be preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of software programs such as SAP Business One, etc. will be considered additional qualifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Proven knowledge of import requirements, import concepts, rules and regulations customs documents, and pre-dispatch materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to manage time effectively.                                                                              
  • Strong organizational skills – able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, planning and managing various projects and activities.
  • Proven ability to solve challenging logistical problems and work with minimal direction.
  • Familiarity with numbers and data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

 

Job Responsibilities   

  • Prepare and process orders to overseas suppliers based on company needs.
  • Receive and check order confirmations from overseas suppliers.
  • Require, acquire and evaluate pricing quotes from shipping agents for various shipments imports.
  • Schedule and book containers for shipment.
  • Communicate with overseas suppliers to schedule or expedite order receipts and handle deficiencies, delays, and other issues.
  • Communicate with local shipping agents to resolve problems.
  • Reconcile supplier invoices with orders and other necessary documents.
  • Monitor the progress of orders and deliveries until they arrive at the port.
  • Manage all required documentation for all inbound logistics.
  • Communicate with customs brokers for the import process, arrange all necessary documentation, and make sure that the customs clearance is done in time.
  • Address issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other related general office duties.
