THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a global leader in the Radio industry with presence in more than 25 countries and with 32 million listeners per week, we seek to recruit an energetic and highly motivated professional for the position of Sales Manager, to be based in Nicosia.  

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be heading the sales function of the station, while being responsible for the delivery of sales campaigns and sponsorships, and for the provision of sales support.

More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

  • Promote to clients live host-read advertisements for the radio shows and communicate to them the benefits of advertising in the on-demand radio shows and/or in special content themes in each show
  • Evaluate potential clients and produce leads of the purpose of growing the station’s clientele and income
  • Maintain and further develop the existing clientele build and strengthen long term professional relationships while achieving business development and growth
  • Collaborate effectively with the Content and Finance teams to ensure that all spots have been fully booked, fulfilled and billed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with team members across the station in order to ensure that clients are supported successfully and that high-value clients are maintained
  • Establish strategic partnerships, work closely with major agencies and network radio buyers, in order to develop unique, lasting advertising opportunities in the radio market

REQUIREMENTS      

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Communication or in any other relevant field will be considered as an advantage.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position, directly interacting with advertising agencies, media buyers and advertisers (clients)
  • Solid networking skills and ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Proven experience in identifying and successfully obtaining new clients
  • Proven ability in achieving sales targets and revenue increase
  • Effective client management skills
  • Strong team working skills and ability to interact and collaborate effectively with external and internal stakeholders
  • Results oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Excellent computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages, both written and verbal
